ClimatePolice.com February 2007 Climate Report

This report provides a summary of the February 2007 temperature averages across the United States. Data from all 15 regions was collected from surface weather observing stations within each region. All data was quality controlled to increase the accuracy of the analysis.

The overall average US temperature was 31.95 degrees, which is 2.75 degrees below normal. Nine out of the 15 (New England, Northeast, Mid Atlantic, Midwest, Southeast, South, Central Plains, Northern Plains, and Pacific Coast) regions reported temperatures that were signficantly below normal levels. Three regions (Alaska, Hawaii, and the Southwest) reported normal temperatures. Three regions (Northern Rockies, Southern Rockies, and Pacific Northwest) reported slightly above normal temperatures.

A climate prediction analysis for March 2007 was also conducted. Most regions are expected to experience near normal temperatures, except for the Southwest, Northern Rockies, and Southern Rockies. These regions will experience slightly above normal temperatures.
